Mendicity Institution is a Social Enterprise
It is our mission to disrupt and prevent the cycle of homelessness by enabling and empowering individuals to become self-sufficient members of their communities. The Mendicity Institution is the oldest working charity in Dublin. We help people empower themselves so they can work their way out of homelessness. We are inclusive, we are innovative and we provide quality service to all who come to us.

The creation of the awareness raising Social Enterprise plaques and landing pages was funded under the 2021
Awareness Raising Initiative for Social Enterprise (ARISE) Scheme.
The scheme, which was set up to help promote Social Enterprises and the positive impact they have on their local communities, is funded by the Department of Rural and Community Development through the Dormant Accounts Fund
