Computerised Accounts

This course is designed for individuals interested in learning computerised bookkeeping as a core skill in starting a small business and/or those aspiring to a computerised accounts position. 

Objective:

The objective of the course is to provide participants with practical, hands on experience in identifying and utilising key resources available to them in order to gain competency in:

  • setting up and managing a computerised accounting system
  • controlling and managing business income and expenditure
  • managing VAT returns
 
The course content includes:
  • introduction
  • setting up TAS Books on a computer
  • operating system of TAS Books
  • preparation and input of suppliers invoices
  • editing and reporting procedures for suppliers ledger
  • cheque payments input
  • sales invoice input
  • recording lodgements
  • generating the VAT 3 data
  • month end procedures
 Each participant has his/her own pc. The course involves extensive hands-on activity including exercises, which give practical experience in using the computerised bookkeeping package.
